Google pays tribute to René Favaloro, inventor of the bypass – Telam

Google recalls the 96th anniversary of the birth of the Argentine cardiac surgeon René Favalor, who includes on his homepage a "doodle" with a doctor's drawing next to a heart and various surgical instruments.

Favaloro was born in La Plata on July 12, 1923.

The bridging technique developed by the Argentine cardiac surgeon was included in this year's March in the cultural platform of the search engine, as part of the "400 inventions and discoveries that changed the history of the "Humanity", an acknowledgment that the doctor's family celebrated that his legacy "inspires future generations".

"It is a source of pride that they have chosen the technique of circumvention in the framework of these 400 inventions worldwide and I consider that the inclusion in the platform is a way for the youngest to get to know René. , the doctor and the man ", his niece Liliana Favaloro, president of the Favaloro Foundation, had confided to Telam.

The prestigious heart surgeon committed suicide on 29 July 2000 after shooting himself in the heart, overwhelmed by the financial crisis his foundation was going through and disappointed by the lack of response from authorities and businessmen.
