This robot is a genius in the challenge of bottles: watch it in action

A few days ago we talked about one of the all-new viral challenges who has invaded social networks. The challenge includes a bottle, although it is not the # FlipBottleChallenge where the participants must force the ship to stand in an almost magical movement.

The novelty is called #BottleCapChallenge. The proposal seems simple, but it is not: you have to Discover a bottle of a unique and precise shotwithout emptying its contents, usually with a kick. Attempts accumulated, as you can see in the following examples.

Now we learn that one "Robotic friend" of TN Tecno the challenge was encouraged and, moreover, he did it with great precision. We expected nothing else from an automaton. The reference is RoboRaise, a system created by MIT CSAIL, the division of the Mbadachusetts Institute of Technology dedicated to robotics and artificial intelligence.

The secret of our friend

As we see in the video, what does RoboRaise do, is to imitate his human companion. It does this through sensors and an artificial intelligence system that help mimic the strength and muscle movements of its counterpart.

Beyond its effectiveness for the Bottle Challenge, the proposal of this robot is to help lift objects. On the one hand, a person of flesh and blood is strong, and on the other hand, the mechanical arm. "We are looking for a more natural collaboration between humans and robots," said Joseph delPreto, the creator of this invention, when we mentioned this note.

The basic idea is to go beyond the vision that warns automata as thieving competitors of our work, and to deepen developments allowing cooperation between the parties.
