Records at Kleine Brogel, in the east of the country and close to the border with the Netherlands, beat the historic temperature record in Belgium for the second time this week, after reaching 39.9 degrees on Wednesday .

The Netherlands also recorded a historic record Thursday in the middle of the heatwave and recorded 40.4 degrees Celsius in the Dutch province of Gelderland, in the center of the country, according to the Dutch Meteorological Institute (KNMI).

Meanwhile, France has lived the hottest night ever recorded, with a minimum of 21.4 degrees on average in the 30 stations considered as national reference, and Paris has crossed historic heat record with 42.6 ° C, indicated the French weather service Meteo France.

This Thursday should be the most damning day of the heat wave in several countries, temperatures begin to fall from Friday, with rains and storms.
