Greta Thunberg, a reference in the environmental activism of the youngest, will sail across the Atlantic on a high-speed racing yacht to participate in the climate change summits that will take place in the United States and Chile (COP25).

The 16-year-old Swede gained worldwide recognition last year when she began a strike in a school to raise public awareness of the climate crisis. The initiative calls "Fridays for the future".

The trip will last two weeks.

Summits in America

Thunberg will attend the United Nations (UN) Summits scheduled for 23 September in New York and from 2 to 13 December in Santiago de Chile. For the young woman, it is there "practically where our future will be decided".

The typing decision follows a Thunberg principle that he does not travel by plane because of the environmental footprint generated by this means of transport.

To travel between New York and Chile, Greta will use trains and buses. He will visit several countries, but it is unclear when he will pbad through Argentina.
