Trump said to have left "a lot of dead" during a shootout at a Walmart in Texas

An unspecified number of dead and wounded were injured today in a supermarket in the Texas city of El Paso, United States, during which authorities arrested at least one suspect, said official sources.

"Terrible filming in El Paso, Texas; reports are very bad, a lot of deaths, "said US President Donald Trump on his Twitter account.

The president added that he was working with local and state authorities, as well as security forces, and that he had talks with the Texas governor, Republican Greg Abbott, "to offer the unfailing support of the federal government".

The incident has caused "several" casualties, said El Paso police spokesman Enrique Carrillo, quoted by the press agency Europa Press.
