The new "combat vehicles", which will eventually replace the tanks, will be more agile, more efficient and will require lower costs. The project is being developed by three companies, though, they said, not all technology options will be adopted.

The "Carmel Project," said the Defense Ministry, places Israel at the forefront of global efforts to produce vehicles for future battlefields.
