From prison, Lula congratulated Alberto Fernández: "We must give hope to the people" – Telam

The former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, imprisoned for corruption, today congratulated the presidential formula of Alberto Fernández and Cristina Fernández de Kirchner for the victory obtained yesterday at the OPS .

"I congratulate the clbadmates for the expressive result of the primary school in Argentina, it is necessary to give people hope, to spend better days and take care of those who need it most", wrote Lula on Twitter.

Alberto Fernández paid a visit on 4 July to the leader of the opposition workers' party in the cell he occupies at the headquarters of the federal police in Curitiba, in the state of Paraná, accompanied by the Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, Celso Amorim.

The former president asked the Supreme Court to invalidate his proceedings because of the lack of bias of the judge who sentenced him, the current Minister of Justice, Sérgio Moro.
