A new mission from the International Monetary Fund will arrive in the country next week. The delegation that will arrive in the midst of a worsening crisis will be headed by Argentina's head of mission, Roberto Cardarelli. The official reason for the trip is to monitor the progress of the austerity program provided for in the confirmation agreement. IMF auditors will also badess the impact of the package announced by the government. The announced instruments require special authorizations from an agency that, although politically authorized from Washington DC, requires a technical badessment.
