A drug that caused the werewolf syndrome to 16 babies in Spain is stopped

The first 13 cases were badigned to a single batch, then notified by the Spanish pharmacovigilance system before July 11, but by August 6, there were already 16 cases in Granada, with some 23 batches identified.

After careful badysis, it was discovered that the lots were contaminated with minoxidil, described as "an active ingredient of drugs for alopecia".

Following this discovery, not only were baby treatments suspended, which they had stopped refluxing but they had pushed a mop of hair on the parts of the body where they were not supposed to have hair, but also the lots were removed from the market.

Fortunately, the babies did not suffer from other symptoms due to the consumption of contaminated omeprazole, and the amount of their hair decreased after cutting the treatment.
