Spain: shot dead ex-wife, ex-mother-in-law and ex-sister-in-law in front of their children

A man killed his ex-wife, ex-mother-in-law and ex-sister-in-law in Pontevedra in front of his two children aged four and seven. After committing the mbadacre, the feminicide was delivered to the Civil Guard of Ames.

As reported to Europa Press Investigation sources, the events occurred early this morning in the parish of Carracido, when the victim left his home to take his minor children to school.

The victim was surprised by her ex-husband, who was separating and shot at him with a short weapon. At that time, according to the first reconstruction, his mother and sister came to his aid but they were also killed in front of the two children.

The femicide then returned to the municipality of Ames, Coruña, where he lived with his parents, and went to a barracks of the Civil Guard.

Emergency services received the first call shortly after 08:00 from Valga. The detainee's ex-wife was 39 years old, her mother was 58 years old and her sister 27 years old.

The couple was separating, but there are no previous complaints or blocking orders, as confirmed at Europa Press judicial sources

This is the third case of gender-based violence recorded in Galicia since the beginning of the year. On 10 March, the first victim was also killed in Valga and was also shot with a firearm, while the second case was reported on 21 July in Vilalba (Lugo).
