A man killed his ex-wife, ex-mother and ex-sister in front of his children

A 41-year-old man killed his ex-wife, mother and sister in Valga, Pontevedra municipality on Monday morning, in the presence of his two youngest children, aged four and seven.

According to sources in the investigation, the events occurred early this morning in the parish of Carracido, instead of Cordeiro, when the woman left home to take her minor children to school. Four and seven years.

In an attached farm, the victim was surprised by her ex-husband, who was on separation and shot at her with a short gun. According to the first reenactment, her mother and sister came to her aid, who were also shot in the presence of the two children.

Subsequently, the man returned to the municipality of Ames, where he lived with his parents, and gave himself up to a barracks of the Civil Guard.

No complaints

Emergency services received the first call shortly after 8 am from Valga. The detainee's ex-wife was 39 years old, her mother was 58 years old and her sister 27 years old.

The couple was in the process of separation, but no complaint or protection order has yet been in effect, as confirmed by a judicial source of Europa Press. The judicial delegation and the investigators work in the region.

If it was officially confirmed, it would be the third case of gender-based violence recorded in Galicia since the beginning of the year. On 10 March, the first victim was also killed in Valga and was also shot with a firearm, while the second case was reported on 21 July in Vilalba (Lugo).
