Rosa Córdoba: early detection, talks and activities – A morning for all

As part of Córdoba Rosa, this Saturday 19 October, International Day of Breast Cancer, various awareness activities are conducted.

As part of a joint action by the Ministry of Health, the Athletic Agency of Córdoba, the Ministry of Equity and Employment Promotion and non-governmental organizations Amazonas and Guapas, Kempes Park, from 10amadvice, recreational and sports activities will be offered.

There, the provincial program for early detection of breast cancer will set up a stand, identified by a mobile mammography, which offers advice with a twofold function: to guide and remove doubts about how to detect breast cancer at an early stage, depending on the age and history of each woman. In addition, it is possible to have access to protected posts for mammography and / or a complete gynecological check-up in public hospitals.

Meanwhile, the NCD Department will play games to promote healthy habits; diet and physical activity, and avoid the consumption of tobacco and alcohol.

In addition, the Athletic Agency of Córdoba coordinates a walk and a Zumba course and provides information on the role of physical activity as a habit contributing to the prevention of this disease and others.

For its part, the Department of Equity for the Promotion of Employment provides rosy links, reports on activities conducted by the Breast Cancer Awareness Forum and encourages participation in games and tips .

Lastly, Guapas (Mami Hockey) and Amazonas de Córdoba foundations share their activities with the community. In the case of the Guapas Foundation, they are particularly interested in the bank of wigs they keep for women in treatment; and for which they receive gifts of hair.
