The World Bank has reduced Argentina’s growth outlook for 2021 from 5.5% to 4.9%. For the agency, the local economy fell 10.6% in 2020. “Argentina’s economy is expected to grow 4.9% this year, which would be the first positive growth rate in four years. The easing of pandemic mitigation measures and the lifting of uncertainty surrounding the recent debt restructuring will support private consumption and investment. With consumption slowing, growth is expected to soften to 1.9 percent in 2022, ”states the World Bank report.
