City: everything you need to know about the start of classes tomorrow

11 months have passed since the last time Argentine students took face-to-face lessons. Tomorrow, after weeks of strong friction between the ruling party, the unions and the opposition, the 2021 school year will finally begin in the city and in Santa Fe. In the capital, Boys and girls who attend kindergartens, initial, lower primary (1, 2 and 3) and lower secondary (first and second years) students will return to classrooms . They will also do this to students in the last year of elementary and secondary school in the province of Santa Fe. The rest of the country will resume its presence between the rest of this month and the first half of the next.

In figures, tomorrow 739 entry-level establishments, 886 primary schools and 492 secondary schools will open in the City which will add 370,493 students, while the total number of the district is 785,152. Next Monday, they will take over the rest of the primary classes (4th, 5th, 6th and 7th), which will add 144,596 pupils. While the following 1st year, the remaining years of secondary will return (3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th), which represents 90,073 boys and girls. Students from the youth and adult programs will begin on the 8th, and students from the higher level on the 22nd. In this way, the registration total in Buenos Aires is completed.

According to the City’s Ministry of Education, they invested more than 2,000 million pesos in cleaning kits, in biosecurity elements (185,000 chinstrap, 1,650 pedals for distributors of alcohol gel, 75,000 masks, 53,000 liters of alcohol, 33,000 liters of alcohol gel and 125,000 pairs of gloves) and in air purifiers for classrooms that do not have adequate ventilation. In addition, investments have been made to replace teachers who cannot attend the meeting due to their membership in risk groups.

In the city, there will be face-to-face classes five days a week, with at least four hours a day. If the school cannot guarantee the safety conditions with this device, it must submit an alternative proposal.

The authorities recommend that pupils and parents, as far as possible, get around on foot, by bicycle or in their private vehicle. In any case, as indicated by the government of Buenos Aires after an agreement with the Ministry of Transport of the Nation, there will be an increase in the frequency of buses to the hours with the greatest number of passengers. To travel, students, teachers and non-teaching staff must process the single movement certificate.

The classic orange school groups will be activated. The drivers must place a plastic piece that separates them from the students or be two meters from the passengers. Boys must wear face masks at all times. All seats can be used and each student will be assigned a seat at all times so that in the event that a user becomes infected, it is possible to know who was seated near the positive case.

If a student exhibits symptoms compatible with Covid-19 during class time, they will be isolated and the bubble they will be part of will not return to class until all members have received the study result. If the test is positive, the group will be isolated for 10 days, along with teachers who have taught classes to that group in the past 48 hours. The same will be true for students if a teacher tests positive for Covid-19. There is no limit of students per class, but they must maintain the regulatory distance. If this is not possible in one room, they can be divided into several groups.
