So eel and octopus fight to the death | the Chronicle

The diver Australian Chris Kreis documented an eel attack on an octopus on video. In the brutal marine episode, the octopod lost one of its tentacles but managed to survive the marine predator.

Kreis, had submerged in the sea, with his son and his wife, on a rocky reef near the Naked island, South of Sydney, when he encountered the marine survival episode.

As reported by the Daily Mail, the recording was made on February 14 by the Australian.

A group of octopuses were at the bottom of the sea when Kreis appeared with his camera. Noticing their presence, one of them went to hide behind a rock. It was at this point that he was surprisingly attacked by a moray eel, one of its natural predators, who did not hesitate to make it its prey.

The cephalopod He tried to defend himself by expelling his ink on the fish, but it was not favorable for the mollusk. With their teeth he was seized by the eel which tore off one of its tentacles.

“It all happened so fastsaid Kreis, who further described that the octopus survived the attack by its predator. The eel quickly disappeared from the scene.

Like other animals, octopuses can regenerate their tentacles after losing them.
