The daughters of Malcolm X presented at a press conference a letter written by a former NYPD agent, now deceased, accusing this force and the FBI of complicity in the murder of the activist in 1965. With this evidence , the family now calls for the investigation into the death to be reopened. In the letter, the deceased African-American officer, admits he infiltrated in the entourage of Malcolm X and sought “evidence so that the FBI can discredit and arrest the leader of the movement”.

“Anything that sheds light on this terrible tragedy must be carefully considered,” Ilyasah Shabazz, one of Macolm X’s daughters, said at the press conference.
