Sarmiento police identified the occupants of a Ford Focus traveling on kilometer 125 of national road 26. They had borrowed a 22 caliber rifle and bullets. In addition, their car was hijacked so as not to have the documentation to circulate.

Upon identification of the two occupants of the Ford Focus, officers found that they were carrying a 22 caliber rifle and projectiles. The men did not have documentation relating to the possession and use of the weapon.

One of the subjects claimed that the Lake Field Marc II rifle, made in Canada, was on loan. The man, identified as Sixto Miranda, 30, was arrested for violating article 189 bis of the Penal Code.

The police also seized 10 bullets of the same caliber as the weapon, a sheath used and the vehicle for lack of documents to circulate. Judicial authorities ordered the man’s detention until the detention review hearing.
