Fernández: “From April, Latin America will begin to have the necessary vaccines” – Telam

President Alberto Fernndez stressed this Tuesday from Mexico that, “from April, Latin America will begin to have the vaccines necessary to protect” citizens from the coronavirus.

“We visited the facilities of the Liomont laboratories, where the production and packaging of the Covid-19 vaccine developed by the University of Oxford and AstraZeneca, whose active ingredient is manufactured in our country, has been completed”, said the president this morning through his account Twitter.

He referred to the activity he carried out on the first day of the presidential visit to Mexico, where he visited different parts of the pharmaceutical factory, located in the Chuajimapla de Morelos alcaida, including the refrigeration chambers of the component sent to Argentina.

“So far, the mAbxience laboratory has sent from Argentina the active principle necessary to produce 12 million doses. From April, Latin America will begin to have the vaccines necessary to protect our population”, stressed the president in its publication.
