The former Callejeros drummer is serving a life sentence for the femicide of his wife Wanda Taddei, 29, which occurred in February 2010. Vásquez sprayed the young woman with alcohol and set her on fire. After eleven days of agony, the victim died with 60% of the body burned.

In dialogue with TN, Taddei’s father spoke of Magistrate López’s recent decision. “I thought it was not possible, Vasquez has to serve a life sentence. I spoke with the lawyer and he told me that he was entitled to what this judge had granted him, ”he said.

“Just as this law is respected for detainees, so when a woman files a complaint at a police station, she accepts it; that when a prosecution has a complaint, it does not fire it; that when a violent violates a perimeter, he is condemned; that the Micaela law be fulfilled for all the powers of the State, ”asked the father of the murdered young woman.
