A 74-year-old street vendor was shot and killed by an assailant on his way home Friday night to a neighborhood in the southern part of San Miguel de Tucumán.

Meanwhile, two suspects have been arrested during a search operation in the Autopista Sur neighborhood of San Miguel de Tucumán and “their arrests have already been ordered,” said Homicide Unit II prosecutor Carlos Dirty, without revealing his identities.

During this time, the motorcyclist suffered a leg injury and fled the scene on foot with the help of his companion.

Investigation sources indicated that hours later a 22-year-old entered the same hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg and is being investigated as a suspect in the homicide.

For its part, the scientific team of the prosecution recovered ballistic evidence from the scene of the crime and hijacked the motorcycle on which the attackers were traveling.

Motochorros have abandoned the motorcycle and the neighbors who came to help González, indignant, set it on fire, reported official sources.

Prosecutor Sale confirmed that a woman and a young man were detained as the alleged perpetrators. “The weapon they would have used to commit the homicide would be identified and analyzed by the scientific team of the prosecution,” added the judicial officer.

The scientific team of the fiscal investigations of the public prosecutor’s office, coordinated by Eugenio Agüero Gamboa, carried out several expertises on the scene of the crime.
