Dramatic collision with 30 chain links in Montana on frozen highways

Dozens of vehicles were involved in a chain accident on Saturday in an ice covered bridge an interstate highway on the Yellowstone River outside of Billings, Montana (US), which made the stretch look like a dumping ground with run over cars and trucks.

In the multiple collision they were involved around 30 vehicles, the Montana Highway Patrol reported on Twitter. No deaths have been reported, but Two people were injured, according to the Highway Patrol.

Authorities said ice on the bridge was a cause of the chain crash – which forced Interstate 90 to temporarily close.

Paramedics found the two injured under the bridge, the newspaper reported Billing Gazette.

Montana Highway Patrol tweeted that the two injured “jumped off the bridge during the incident to avoid being run over by a vehicle.” They suffered serious injuries but are expected to recover. “

A Billings transit bus was dispatched to the scene to transport several of the people whose vehicles were stuck between them to an event center.
