“No one gives up here!”: García Cabeza de Vaca defended his jurisdiction as governor of Tamaulipas

Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca, governor of Tamaulipas, reiterated his moral integrity in the face of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) for his alleged responsibility in acts of organized crime, operations with illicit resources and similar tax evasion.

Before being ruled, through an official rally, he assured that even if they attack, defame and slander him, he will demonstrate what is “done”. They attended the event hundreds of people who have expressed their support to the head of the local executive and applauded the words sung by him.

“Faced with the onslaught of this government, I tell you all: you can continue to attack me, slander, slander, but let them know and know well, here nobody gives up! We will show what we are made of in Tamaulipas! “, said the activist of the National Action Party.

These statements were made in a complex context; In the first place, we must consider that the federal deputy of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) Ignacio Mier Velazco disclosed a document of the FGR, in which the violation of García Cabeza de Vaca is requested. In the same document, the presumption of crime is specified.

A government that wanted to interfere in the actions of the Tamaulipas government […] Or, surely, that they are very upset by the posting that we made to the Federal Commission of Electricity for presenting an apocryphal document of civil protection […] Or surely they are also very upset because we have presented constitutional controversies where we believe and we are fully convinced that they violate the rights of Tamaulipas. Furthermore, Enrique Alfaro, governor of Jalisco and member of the Federalist Alliance, declared that it had no electoral connotation and assured that Gertz Manero is a very serious professional who would not lend itself to it; however, he regretted the mismanagement of the case.
