He beat a leopard to death and saved his family

The brave man, identified as Rajagopal Naik, was riding a bicycle with his family near the town of Arsikere in the Indian state of Karnataka when he was surprised by the feline. The specimen, a two-year-old female, chased them away and tried to bite the mother. In desperation, the three people fell to the ground and then the father had to deal with the carnivore in close combat until he killed him.

“I managed to push him down and kill him with my knee. I ran into town and asked for help. I injured my head, arms and neck,” said Naik, who is recovering at the local hospital and has been greeted like a hero.

Apparently, the leopard had attacked other people before, including a vet who, along with a group of forest officials, was trying to catch it.
