“Caesar drowned in Tayrona park for lack of equipment and medical personnel”: relatives of a deceased tourist

A tragic event occurred on February 28 in the Tayrona National Natural Park, located at Santa Marta, in which a man lost his life after diving into the waters. Despite the fact that people who attended the event tried to help, after denouncing the lack of expert personnel in such emergencies, the bather ultimately died.

“In the park there is no medical equipment, there are no lifeguards, there are no floats and even less a warning, an alert or a yellow flag announcing the state of the sea, nobody warned us. The waves are getting bigger every moment and we couldn’t save him, he didn’t give us time, ”Cruz Paloma told El Informador.

In turn, the woman indicated, in the same environment, that “Caesar did not have enough time; the rescue was given thanks to the help of several tourists, without them the tragedy would have been worse, since there were two other people with him. Well, while running, we had to assemble a chain of clothes and grab some cans and with that we were able to save the cousin and the wife, but Caesar turned very badly and he couldn’t hold on ”.

Likewise, Julieth assured that one of the tourists who helped with the rescue was also on the verge of drowning, that is why he had to be treated in an emergency.
