Video: injured stray dog ​​went to vet for help

Last Saturday, those inside a vet in Juazeiro do Norte, Brazil were surprised. Suddenly, a street dog stopped at the door of the premises, then limped in and leaned against the wall. Right away, a professional assisted him and confirmed that he had a tumor.

“He arrived calm, he showed his paw and I went to see what had happened. I immediately noticed that there was blood in the genital area, but there was a much bigger problem that we later diagnosed: a transmissible venereal tumorVet Dayse Silva told the Globo portal.

The specialist explained that this pathology is common in stray dogs. In addition, he clarified that the injury to his leg had been caused by a nail and explained that the dog could have approached the clinic “because he had sniffed the presence of animals receiving care at the center” .

Regarding their meeting, Silva said: “He comes from the street, he has no owner, he came here alone. I looked at the camera footage outside and saw him lying under a tree a few moments before entering ”.

Now the dog will be hospitalized for at least 30 days due to the tumor he is suffering from. At the animal health center, you will receive chemotherapy treatment and, once released, you can be adopted. “I am very happy to be able to help. This is standard practice in my clinic and, God permitting, he will find a good home, ”said Silva.

The footage, recorded on the vet’s internal video camera, went viral on social media. In fact, among the many comments, those who praised the attitude of the professional stood out.
