The Italian government on Friday approved a decree-law implementing the total confinement from April 3 to 5, the three feasts of Holy Week in Italy, and will apply from March 15 the red zone, the one with the strongest restrictions, to regions with a weekly incidence of more than 250 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

The decree-law, which must be approved by Parliament, tightens current measures in Italy after their registration on the last day 25,673 new coronavirus infections, the highest number in monthsand increase the pressure on hospitals.

The new restrictive measures approved by the Council of Ministers, after discussions with the regions, will be valid from March 15 to April 6.

According to government sources, During the three holidays of Holy Week, citizens can move to another house in their own area, once a day and only two people, not counting those under 14. An exception to be able to visit relatives on these dates.
