Vehicle check schedule 2021: which cars need to complete the process in March and April in CDMX and Edomex

The vehicle verification program in Mexico City and the State of Mexico has been in effect since the past Monday, January 18, 2021 and will remain in effect until Wednesday, June 30, 2021.

For this reason, drivers should take into account the days of checking their car for the number of plate endings and the color of the sticker, which will be broken down as follows:

This is the verification schedule

*January and February: they have to check cars with number plates 5 and 6 (yellow sticker).

*February and March: plates with termination 7 and 8 (pink gummed).

*March and April: plates with termination 3 and 4 (red rubber).

*April and May: plates with termination 1 and 2 (green gummed).

*May and June: plates with 9 and 0 termination (blue gummed).

PFor CDMX, Emissions Review Centers continue to operate under strict sanitary measures and by appointment.

Every week, the Ministry of the Environment of CDMX (Sedema) allows the appointment system to be able to carry out the verification of the vehicle, so since January 6, it has announced that a space can already be provided to go to check-ins.

It is important to note that the audit program establishes an orientation schedule and guidelines with the aim that all cars are evaluated, that is to say, they identify cars with a high level of pollution and put in place mechanisms to prevent, control and reduce polluting emissions into the atmosphere.

In the case of cars with hologram 00 or exempt, will be reviewed at least every three years to see if they are candidates to continue to circulate without problem, according to information published in the Gazette of December 22.

Taxis that keep the same license plate, but they replace your device, must be verified within 180 days natural, which are taken into account from the date of issue of the circulation card, a situation which does not exempt the unit used from carrying the certificate and verification hologram corresponding to the previous registration or from presenting payment of the fine due to an untimely verification of having expired the 180 days granted.

Drivers must come by appointment to be treated in one of the centers of their choice.

In addition, in the face of the coronavirus contingency which continues to reduce the lives of hundreds of people, they must attend establishments with face masks, keep a healthy distance and apply an antibacterial gel.

Cars arriving inside and after completing the check will also be disinfected.
