The standard established that the frequencies of air services between Argentina and Mexico and Europe at 30% capacity and henceforth this same limit will apply to flights to and from Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama and Chile.

In addition, The restrictions that already existed for flights with the United States have been increased by 10% and by 20% for flights with Brazil, after it was confirmed that the border closure with the neighboring country was not being analyzed.

“Argentines will be discouraged from traveling to countries with high infection and death rates. Air traffic abroad will be further reduced. Controls on people arriving from abroad will be tightened: PCR and surveillance isolation, ”they said of the government.

In this sense, the published administrative decision, signed by the chief of staff, Santiago Cafiero, and the ministers of health, Carla Vizzotti, and of the interior, Eduardo “Wado” De Pedro, reiterated the recommendations to postpone the trips abroad, in particular people over the age of 60 or people belonging to groups at risk.

The measure was implemented after last Monday, the country’s health ministers analyzed the internal and external epidemiological and health situation, and recommended “to discourage movement in areas of circulation of new strains of coronavirus”.
According to an official statement, at the meeting of the Federal Health Council last Monday, the holders of the provincial health portfolios “assessed the possibility of adopting new measures at the borders”.
