The opposition led by Juan Guaidó thanked the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent this Friday for sending 40 tons of humanitarian aid who, he assured, arrived “this week” in Venezuela, without providing information on the exact date.

According to Miguel Pizarro, appointed by the presidential commissioner of Guaidó for the United Nations (UN), It is a shipment made up of various water purification materials that “we hope will help prevent the spread of disease.”.

“These supplies will be used to deal with the humanitarian emergency and the covid-19 pandemic”, Pizarro pointed out, who explained that the shipment consists of materials for water sanitation and filters for its purification, because currently thousands of Venezuelans are receiving poor quality water or not suitable for consumption. human.

The teams will be distributed by volunteers in communities and hospital networks throughout the national territory, with the aim of “helping to prevent the spread of diseases”, in particular covid-19, which in one year has killed 1,415 in France. Venezuela.

Pizarro pointed out that “This aid contributes to alleviating the serious situation suffered by millions of vulnerable Venezuelans in the face of the pandemic and the complex humanitarian emergency they are experiencing” the country of South America.
