This March 15 is the last day to apply for a Federal Support Grant

The National Coordination of Scholarships for Well-Being Benito Juárez recalled that this Monday March 15 the deadline to request the Federal Grant for Child Support Support 2021, a program that gives graduate students a financial assistance of 9,000 pesos.

To register, it is mandatory that the interested party studies in a Public Higher Education Institution (IPES) in Mexico, although according to the call, young people from the following schools are excluded: National School of Anthropology and History (ENAH); National Polytechnic Institute (IPN); National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM); Autonomous Metropolitan University (UAM) and National Pedagogical University (UPN).

In addition, Applicants must meet the following requirements:

* The student must be enrolled at the undergraduate, professional license or advanced university technician level (TSU) in any IPES in the country.

* Come from a household whose monthly per capita income is equal to or lower than the urban poverty line (LPI), in effect at the time of the grant application.

* Not having completed the studies of the level of education to which it applies, nor have a certificate of this type of education.

* Not to have other economic advantage for the same purpose granted by an agency of the centralized federal public administration. The Youth Building the Future and International Mobility programs (Elisa Acuña scholarships) are incompatible; and yes, students benefiting from merit scholarships can benefit from them; Training; Professional practices; Social service; BAPISS, National Mobility and Qualification (Elisa Acuña Scholarship Program).

* Not to have other financial support granted by an agency of the centralized federal public administration, which, by virtue of the principle of temporality, is not compatible with the requested grant.

When is the payment made?

The federal alimony support grant pays students 1,800 pesos every two months (1 two-month period). And he makes this payment for five periods of two months (ten months), that is, the total amount of financial assistance is 9,000 pesos (1,800 x 5).

However, due to the federal election to be held next June, it has been decided to change the payment schedule. The reason for this change is that candidates do not use welfare programs for political and electoral purposes during the campaign period.

In this way, beneficiaries of Maintenance Support in April, they will receive the deposit corresponding to three two-month periods, for a total of 5,400 pesos. Then, between the months of June and September, no deposit will be made, and in October, the amount equivalent to the fourth and fifth quarters will be paid: 3,600 pesos.

* Once there, personal data such as the CURP will be requested, in addition to verifying them to avoid the cancellation of the procedure.

It is important to remember that in order to receive the resources, students must have an active debit bank account in their name and ensure that it allows deposits and wire transfers greater than the total amount of the scholarship, and that it there is no monthly deposit limit.

In addition, the Standardized Banking Code (CLABE) associated with the bank account must be registered in SUBES from February 19, 2021 to April 5, 2021, in the “Application” menu, under “CLABE Interbancaria”.
