“It’s an affront”: this is how Alfredo del Mazo reacted to the ambush against the police officers of Edomex

Alfredo del Mazo, Governor of the State of Mexico, spoke of the attack on Coatepec, in which 13 police officers were ambushed and killed.

Already yesterday, March 18, the Secretary of Security of the State of Mexico, Rodrigo Celis, and the Attorney General of Justice, Alejandro Gómez Sánchez, reported and condemned the ambush against 13 police officers from Coatepec Harinas, by ensuring that the corresponding investigations have already been opened and they are looking for event managers.

This Friday, the governor of Edomex reported that members of the state police and attorney general’s office died in the ambush and that currently elements of the army, the national guard and the Mariana are patrolling the region and are already looking for those responsible.

He also pointed out that The police were in Coatepec de Harinas on a patrol, as part of the tours and operations that are carried out regularly in various parts of the state. This strategy is developed to fight against violence, crime and fight against organized crime.

However, the Coatepec attack in Harinas was not the only one in which security elements were killed yesterday. In the municipality of Almoloya de Alquisiras, there was also an altercation in which 4 state police officers died while on patrol.
