The party had been promoted via social networks. The meeting place was a house located in the town of Sauce de Portezuelo, about 15 kilometers from Punta del Este.

The invitations arrived via private message on Instagram, where the address and time of participation were detailed. The date was Thursday evening and a group of friends who had confirmed their presence were alerted when arriving at the property they saw a large number of vehicles parked around them.

It was around 4 a.m. and seeing the massive gathering of guests, they decided to warn the police to put an end to this clandestine party where there were around 560 people, according to data provided by the Uruguayan police.
