In contrast, a 27-year-old returned from Switzerland, made a stopover in São Paulo and arrived in Cordoba with a negative PCR test. Later it was detected that she was infected with the variant called “Manaus”. As he did not quarantine when he arrived in the country, eight people from his family and friends were also infected with the same “strain”.

In addition, in another Mexican marriage, the “United Kingdom” variant was also detected.

The information was confirmed on Tuesday at The voice by Laura López, head of the epidemiology area of the provincial health ministry. “Three of these 15 patients in whom we recorded the new variants were hospitalized, and unfortunately one of them, a 59-year-old man, died in a private health facility,” said the provincial official.
