Boy survives fall from 12th floor

Security cameras captured the shocking moment when a five-year-old boy fell from a 12th floor window in Russia and survived as snow eased the impact.

The recording was made in the city of Ufa, in the Republic of Bashkortostan, in the midst of an intense storm.

As the local press reports, the five-year-old was home alone, with no adult to watch him. Perhaps annoyed, he leaned out the window and ended up falling from the 12th floor, to a height of over 100 feet.

After a few seconds of suspense, the child seems to be moving slowly. He tries to orient himself, turns his head, his neck looks fine. He accommodates himself with his hands to kneel down to lie down with his back to the snow.

A woman walking in the area ran to her aid and the first thing she did was wrap her around and warn other passers-by. He looked up at the building, as if searching for an explanation.

A few minutes later, paramedics arrived and the boy was carried on a stretcher.

As reported by Daily mail, the boy was admitted to hospital in serious condition, but his condition was stable after three operations.

Authorities are still investigating the circumstances of the event.
