President Vladimir Poutine last Monday confirmed that the country had produced the first batches of this vaccine, and this Thursday on Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education, clarified that in the coming days it will be available in some Russian regions

Unlike their Russian peers, the Sputnik V and EpiVacCorona, CoviVac is a ‘killed vaccine’, that is, it is based on the inactivated virus and is therefore incapable of causing disease. Scientists used the Russian cell culture they are reproducing at the center after taking samples from hospital patients who contracted COVID-19.

Also plan to inject the second application two weeks after the first dose instead of three weeks.
