Scandal in Bolivia: Evo Morales escorts wear Maduro regime uniform

A few days ago, during a political event in La Paz for the 26th anniversary of the founding of the MAS, the scandal erupted. However, the explanation did not finish convincing since the bodyguards did not wear Hugo Chávez or Nicolás Maduro shirts, as García tried to justify, but rather They were in uniform: they wore black T-shirts embroidered on the back with the coat of arms of the Group of Commando Actions (GAC) and the word “Comando”. They also wore caps with the initials of that group and the Venezuelan flag stamped on one side.

The Command Action Group (GAC) is part of Venezuela’s controversial Bolivarian National Guard, which has been the protagonist in dozens of cases of human rights violations.

According to the United Nations Special Mission for Venezuela, the authorities and Venezuelan security forces – including the Bolivarian National Guard – have planned and executed serious human rights violations since 2014, some of which – including arbitrary executions and the systematic use of torture – constitute crimes against humanity.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, (a former ally of Morales and Maduro himself) denounces “arbitrary detentions, violations of due process guarantees” and cases of “torture and enforced disappearances”.

The relationship between Morales and Chavismo is self-explanatory. In fact, the Bolivian traveled to Caracas last October aboard a US government sanctioned ship. Morales had few trips last year and he always went to visit allies: he was first in Mexico, which received him after leaving Bolivia for electoral fraud, in Argentina, where Alberto Férnández l sheltered both Cuban and Venezuelan dictatorships. These were the only destinations for the MAS leader.
