Italy extended its containment and restrictions on entering the country until April 30

The Italian Ministry of Health, Roberto Speranza, has extended Until April 30 health measures for anyone from the European Union who wishes to enter the country. A mandatory test must be submitted 48 hours before arrival and a five-day quarantine must be carried out, which must be followed by another test to confirm that the disease is not reached, as reported on its website by the ministry.

The measure was intended to dissuade Italians from traveling abroad for the Easter holidays and although some have given up in recent days, many flights have left Italy, especially to Spain.

The ordinance will come into effect on April 7 and establishes the the ban on movement as well as visits to family and friends in “red zones” and the continued closure of bars, restaurants, cinemas, theaters, gymnasiums and swimming pools.

The new regulations raises the reopening of primary and secondary schools and gradually distance education for older students.

Another of the approved measures is the compulsory vaccination of< commerçants, professions de la santé et agents de santé qui exercent leur activité dans les établissements de santé publics et privés, les structures sociales et sociales, publiques et privées, les pharmacies, les parapharmacies et les cabinets professionnels >>, said the news agency DPA.

On March 30, Speranza had signed a similar decree, on the occasion of the holidays of Holy Week, in which all those who had spent the last 15 days in a country of the European Union.

Today the country is going through its third and last day of confinement due to the government-decreed Easter holidays, where all the shops remained closed and it was not possible to leave the house if it was not for work or emergency reasons. It was also forbidden to go to the beach or in the parks and to organize the traditional picnics or barbecues on that date.

Last week, Italy recorded an average of 19,458 cases and 442 deaths per day. The European country has accumulated 109,346 deaths from the virus, out of a total of more than 3.5 million infected.
