The murder of Adam Toledo was completed in seconds. Too late. Soon after, Adam was declared dead on the spot. He will never return to the house where he lived with his mother and older brother in La Villita, a neighborhood in western Chicago where more than 80% of residents are of Mexican origin.

Adam had been away for days and that night of March 29, he was dating a 21-year-old boy, Rubén Román. Rubén reportedly fired a few shots, probably in-game, prompting the police to intervene.
