This is the case of Montanna Morris, a young woman who your doctor has recommended that you inject the toxin to relieve the pain of a temporomandibular joint disorder -Which reduces the mobility of the jaw- because the pain relievers were not working for him. However, the treatment, far from working, created more problems and more pain.

The young woman recounted what happened in a video she uploaded to TIC Tac and it immediately went viral. There, he said his doctor prescribed muscle relaxers that didn’t work: “He recommended that I inject optional botox before having major jaw surgery. The person who put this on me told me I would have the final results in a week or two, but my face was already partially paralyzed in four days so i knew it was going to be bad“.

“The width of my mouth started to get shorter. I saw my teeth less and less when I smiled; this is the first thing I noticed. Then my dimples were almost completely gone. My condition is better, my jaw has opened a bit after the treatment and is locking up a lot less now, but surprisingly I have more pain than before. Due to the paralysis I had a lot of muscle atrophy, so chewing some things is more difficult for me, ”he added.

According to Morris, the one who resumed the treatment was not a specialist, so he injected the toxin in the wrong placespecifically, in the masseter muscle, which is why he paralyzed it.
