Despite the advance in vaccination, the coronavirus continues to leave death records in India, where dramatic images emerge: people dying at the gates of hospitals, saturated crematoriums and a very serious lack of oxygen.

Officially, the total death toll is around 190,000 in India, home to 1.3 billion people. In the past 24 hours, 340,000 new cases have also been recorded, bringing the total number of infections to 16.5 million.
