Coronavirus in Mexico on May 1: 261 deaths in last 24 hours

According to the official, until this Friday there is a -80% reduction in bed occupancy rate across the country (general care and ventilator) since the last peak of cases. Regarding the beds of general hospitalization, He explained that there are 12% of occupied spaces in the country. No state has between 30% and 49% occupancy.

Likewise, no entity has more than 50% occupancy, since all 32 states report less than 30% occupancy. That is to say, of the 30,361 beds in total, 26,715 are available and 3,646 are inhabited.

In the case of beds with mechanical ventilation equipment, used for critically ill COVID-19 patients, noted that there is a national occupation of the 16% (with a downward trend) and that only two entities (Chihuahua and Tabasco) have between 30 and 49% occupancy.

Likewise, there are 30 entities with less than 30% occupancy. In other words, of the 10,552 beds in total, there are 8,871 beds available and 1,681 beds occupied. It should be noted that For several weeks, estimated and active COVID-19 cases show a sustained decrease.

Until Saturday, May 1, 361,199 doses of the antigen against the SARS-CoV-2 virus have been applied.

Of these, 14,221 are related to Pfizer-BioNTech, 1,556 to AstraZeneca, 713 to SinoVac, 268 to Sputnik V, 351 to CanSino, 9 are unknown and 4 occurred overseas. According to the agency, there are still 80 people hospitalized because of the response they received.
