Mexico. Video: It was the moment a train fell and killed 23 people

After the accident in the capital of Mexico when the viaduto through which a subway train was passing collapsed, the news agency Ruptly posted a video that shows the exact moment when the formation falls and causes the death of at least 23 people.

Among the deceased, there are minors although the authorities have not yet defined the number; as 70 people were injured and 49 of them were hospitalized, seven of them in serious condition. The still preliminary figure was released by the capital’s civil protection department and retweeted by Mexico City’s head of government Claudia Sheinbaum, who regretted that there were deaths and injuries.

The accident happened shortly before 10:30 p.m. and it took place near the Olivos station, on line 12, south of the Mexican capital. A preliminary report from the security authorities, according to the media RT News, Olivos station collapsed after a vehicle collided with one of the columns supporting the bridge. It made him collapse just as a train passed.
