The principal of this South Florida school in Hendry County called the child’s mother, claiming that damaged computer and had to pay a fine of 50 dollars. “By driving yourself and taking care of things, you don’t ruin things,” they told him after the April 13 beating.

When the mother arrived at school, they raised the possibility of punishment, but the woman said that due to the language barrier, she did not understand the process.
