Croatia joined the initiative as Italy began to repopulate its small towns. It consists of offering housing with structural problems to one euro and engage buyers to reshape them.

In this case, the small town Legrad -an hour and a half from Zagreb- offers houses a kuna, which equals $ 0.16 or 0.13 euros.

However, it imposes certain terms: that the buyer is less than 40 years old and that he undertakes to live 15 years in this place.

The initiative was launched last year and thousands of Croats, French and Italians came here. To redouble the bet, they also offer 35 thousand kuna -5,600 dollars- for the remodeling of these constructions.
