Cornejo traveled to Madrid to attend the international tourism fair

After overcoming his contagion and his hospitalization two weeks ago, national deputy Alfredo Cornejo traveled to Europe to participate in the most important international tourism fair in the world.

This was announced by the former governor himself, who is in Madrid to join Fitur 2021, in which some 5,000 companies are participating and where 60 countries will seek to promote themselves.

As he clarified, the trip came as invitation from the world tourism organization, since Cornejo is president of the committee of deputies which deals with tourism policies.

“As head of the tourism commission of @DiputadosAR, I was invited by the World Tourism Organization to attend @Fitur 2021 in Madrid. There the situation of the sector will be analyzed, one of the hardest affected by the COVID-19 pandemic “he explained on social networks.

According to his relatives, the national deputy was already in Madrid on Tuesday afternoon. They have not yet specified when he will return.

The Fitur is the most important fair in the area and where even Mendoza has participated to exhibit its beauties and potential. It traditionally takes place in January, but due to the coronavirus pandemic it has had to move its dates and terms.

As in Europe they are in the spring, this allowed him to be both face to face and virtual. Indeed, among the protocols adopted by the organization, participants will be required to test negative COVID 19 in order to enter the premises.

In this case, Cornejo spent about two weeks his contagion admitted to the central hospital, where he received oxygen.
