Spain has allowed entry of vaccinated tourists, but Argentines with Sputnik V will not be able to enter

This decision excludes Argentines vaccinated with the Russian vaccine Sputnik V. So far, the WHO has included the vaccines of Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna and Sinopharm. It is assumed that in the coming weeks this will increase Sinovac already Sputnik V, but he hasn’t done it yet.

It also excludes Argentines who have received only one dose of AstraZeneca to date, as it is necessary to have received two doses.

Thus, only those who have a complete vaccination program with Sinopharm can travel from Argentina.

The list includes, among others, China, Japan, Australia, Israel and New Zealand, But there are no Latin American countries.

Spain, which in 2019 was the second largest tourist destination in the world, plans to attract around 45 million foreign tourists in 2021, half before the pandemic.

Previously, the British represented the largest contingent of foreign visitors, with 18 million arrivals in 2019. Their return to Spanish beaches is important for the country which before the pandemic had 14% of its GDP in tourism.

Entries by residents of European Union countries have never been restricted, although these visitors must present a negative PCR from 6 years old.
