The Minister of Health, Carla Vizzotti, confirmed that in the next few hours, two new flights will leave for Moscow looking for Sputnik V vaccines. Shipping will only be the first component.

“We are waiting for a plane to Sunday or Monday and another on Tuesday “Vizzotti said during a dialogue with journalist María O’Donnell on Urbana Play radio.

During the conference, the manager acknowledged once again that there were difficulties accessing the second component, which many people who received the first injection almost three months ago expected.

“It is more difficult to access the second component because production is delayed and because the second doses are also being applied in Russia at the moment, ”he admitted.

At the same time, he announced that the final procedures are underway for the first plane to arrive with vaccines from AstraZeneca from Atlanta, United States.

Although Vizzotti preferred not to set a date, the truth is that this shipment is officially expected to arrive in Ezeiza next Monday.

“Those who have already completed three months, if they spend a week or two there, the vaccine will not expire. The interval has been set arbitrarily, but they will have priority to be vaccinated, ”he said.

Only 4.90% of the population has received two vaccines in Argentina. And 18.70% accepted a dose.
