Journalist John Jairo Ocampo dies

After suffering from a neurodegenerative disease, the journalist died in the last hours of May 24 John Jairo Ocampo.

The communicator, who had a specialization in economic law and public finance from the Universidad del Rosario, had a long career in media that began Change Magazine in the 90s of the previous century.

He later made the switch to radio on the channel RCN, where he spent ten years as editor-in-chief of the journal Economics. He then provided his services to the Federation of coffee growers as press attaché of the entity.

He returned to the radio, this time in FM, station belonging to the MRC channel, of which he was deputy director. From the private sector, he then served the Colombian government as a press secretary during President Juan Manuel Santos’ first term..
