British Secret Service deem “feasible” that the coronavirus pandemic has its origin in a Chinese research laboratory, as published this Sunday by ‘The Sunday Times’, whose source perhaps “we will never know” the true origin of SARS-CoV-2. The coronavirus has already killed more than 3.5 million people worldwide.

If this theory is confirmed, the virus is said to have accidentally escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in particular, an extreme that Beijing emphatically denies.

Is line of investigation, which the United States takes very seriously, would be supported by the intelligence report released by former US President Donald Trump in one of his last acts in front of the White House which argues that there were already infections among workers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in 2019 with a virus similar to SARS-CoV-2, the cause of the current pandemic.

As published by ‘The Sunday Times’, The British Secret Service is working with the Americans to investigate the possibility that the Chinese government has covered up the true origin of the virus.

The source of the Western secret services consulted by the newspaper admits that The Chinese “secrecy” makes it difficult to come to solid conclusions. “There may be gaps in the tests that lead us in one direction and in the tests that lead us in another (…). The Chinese will lie in any case. I don’t think we’ll ever know “, he said.

This theory would imply that the Chinese laboratory would experiment with and manipulate a strain of the SARS virus that accidentally spread to the population.

The American president himself, Joe Biden, this week announced his intention to “redouble” his efforts to investigate the laboratory theory and admitted that US intelligence is “divided” between this theory and one that points to animal contagion from the Wuhan wild animal market.

UK ASKS WHO TO INVESTIGATE CASE WITHOUT INTERFERENCE

British Vaccination Minister Nadhim Zahawi has called for the WHO to conduct an “unhindered” investigation into the origin of the virus, especially after this information.

“We must not leave a stone unturned to understand why, not only because of the current pandemic which has spread, but also to face those which occur in the future.”he explained in an interview with Sky News.

Faced with international criticism of the organization for giving in to alleged pressure from China to bury the investigation, the minister declared his unwavering support. “I think the WHO tried to share as much data as it could verify, and did so every step of the way”, concluded.

In January, a team of experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) released a report on the origins of the coronavirus stating that the pathogen is of animal origin and that “there is no evidence “that there was transmission before its detection in December 2019 in Wuhan.

The team arrived in the city of Wuhan on January 14, considered the epicenter of the pandemic, and, after two weeks of quarantine, visited places such as the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market, where s the first known group of infections is produced. Wuhan Institute of Virology.
