two dead and at least 25 injured in shooting outside a concert

Two people died after a shooting in Miami in the early hours of Sunday in front of a concert in a shopping center in Miami Gardens. In addition, there is at least 25 injured.

All were transferred to nearby hospitals. One is in very serious condition.

Local police said they were looking for three people that they would be those involved in the shooting, but so far there are no suspects or detainees.

According to the accounts of some witnesses, there were several people who tried to distract the place when a truck Nissan pathfinder – white color – approached in front of the disco, after midnight on Saturday, and three subjects got out of the vehicle with assault rifles and pistols, and started to shoot indiscriminately against the crowd.

In a press conference heard by local media, Ramírez said that twelve of the injured went to hospitals on their own, while eight were transferred by medical teams. The brutal Miami-Date shooting came 24 hours after another similar incident occurred in the tourist district of Wynwood; also in Miami at midnight Friday, and in which one person died and six others were injured.

In an incident described as a “war zone” by police, the shooting, like the one on Saturday night, left many bullet casings and occurred in an area usually populated by tourists. Especially at the start of Memorial Day weekend when the number of travelers to Miami increases.

Traditionally, this long Memorial Day weekend, which is celebrated this year on Monday, tends to worry local authorities who annually strengthen police mechanisms to prevent excesses and violent incidents.
